You Speak, You Never Ask

You must remember surely
All the secrets I told you
All the secrets you told me
But now it’s a sharp sword
Hanging over my head.

I told you things as a friend
But you had conspiracies
Going over in your filthy head
I wish you’d keep it simple
I wish you accepted differences.

But you like to dominate
And you like to shadow me
I thought we’re being nice
But I don’t blame you
Maybe I was too naive.

I was doing the best I think
And I think I do blame you
I wish you showed some courtesy
And I wish you asked me instead
Of always speaking.
